Biography
Mantis (Adamantios) Savvidis was born on September 23, 1984 in Veria and grew up in Alexandria Imathia. He comes from a family of musicians. His father Stavros Savvidis is a renowned singer in Pontian music and his grandfather, Mantis Savvidis, a well-known lyricist in Pontian tradition.
At the age of 6, he began studying classical violin and after 8 years of classical study and higher theory (1998), he decided to engage in bouzouki by starting lessons with Christos Lazaridis, a well-known pianist and bouzouki in the area. In the year 2000-2001 at the “AKRITAS PALACE” entertainment center in Veria Imathia he plays for the first time next to well-known bouzouki of the wider area (Tasos Skarlatos, Dimitris Reveltsis, Yiannis Koutoukller, Dimitris Serraisos) with his professional start.
During the period 2002-2006 he studied at the Ioannina Primary Education Department, working in all the well-known shops of the area (Kyknos, Versus, La notte, Scorpio, Rodon, Premiere etc.). During the year 2006-2007 he served in the military while playing in various shops in central Macedonia. In 2008 he works as a teacher in Heraklion, Crete, continuing his musical career there.
The year 2009 marks a milestone in his career, as he begins collaborating with great pop singer Dimitris Kontolazos, who has kept up to date.Noteworthy are his musical encounters with renowned masters, great musicians and famous singers of Greek discography, on large venues and concerts in Greece and abroad (Themis Adamantides, Natasa Theodoridou, Antipa, Katipita, Katipita, Katipera, Katipa, Katipera, Katerina) Constantine and Matthaios Tsachouridis, Christos Pazis, Stathis Xeno, Petro Imbrio, Rose, Evita Seretis, Giorgos Daskoulidis, Spyros Spyrakos, Stathis Angelopoulos, Evdokia, Sofia Gossi, Sofia Vossi, Sofia Vossi Heidi, Sabrina, Niko Romano, Eleni Karousaki).
